The Taijiquan program at Hebei Medical Qigong School and Hospital is under the direction of Mr. Feng Yijian. Mr. Feng is the current director of the Medical Qigong Department and the Taijiquan Training Base. He teaches Chen Style, Wu Style, Yang Style, and Sun Style and is famous for Pushing Hands. As well as teaching taijiquan, Mr. Feng is also a Medical Qigong Doctor.

Mr. Feng began studying Taijiquan in 1972 from Mr. Li Jingwu, a famous Taijiquan expert, who is known as one of the "five tigers" in China. Mr. Jingwu developed both the Taijiquan and Qigong Massage programs at Hebei Medical Qigong Hospital and School. Mr. Feng inherited from Mr. Li Jingwu, and has now become the heir of 19th generation Chen Style Taijiquan and 5th generation Wu Style Taijiquan.

Since 1989, Mr. Feng has been the head coach of domestic and international Taijiquan training classes. His students come from France, Russia, Ukraine, Japan, America and Sweden. Many of his students are medical doctors. Mr. Feng co-published a book, "Chen & Wu Taijiquan taught by Li Jingwu" and a film about Chen Taijiquan based on his in-depth understanding of Taijiquan principles. Currently he is working on a teaching film for Wu Style, 108 form.

Mr. Feng Yijian also practices Internal Qigong and Nei Yang Gong Qigong. He was taught by Mr. Liu Guizhen, the founder of Hebei Medical Qigong Hospital and School. Mr. Feng has studied both Taijiquan and Nei Yang Gong for over 30 years and is dedicated to teaching both of these traditions to students all over the world.

In 2006, Hebei Medical Qigong Hospital celebrated its 50th anniversary. On the left is a picture of some his students who came to demonstrate Taijiquan, Yang 24. In China, Taijiquan is considered a natural method to maintain health. The Chinese believe that in changing their physical aspect through proper exercise, they simultaneously change the psychological and emotional aspects of their being. Therefore, Taijiquan is regarded as a therapeutic treatment also referred to as

"The Fountain of Youth" and "The Way Toward Abundant Life".
